The beginning..........

I’m beginning to start off a new hobby, giving my personal review on my hoarders collection of book. In this 1st review, I choose Malaysia@50 by KS Jomo and Wee Chong Hui.
Here are my takes on the book:
1. Political economy is the core of this book. Eventually I find that political economy is the main drive of Malaysia economy drive and the essential part of the policy making.
2. Policy creations and changes drive Malaysia economy direction. In this book it seems that during the tenure of 4th PM that policy creations and changes were actively done.
3. Data crunches are the main guidance in the book elaboration of Malaysia discussion in economy between 1963 to 2013. I can see this pattern continue in the book of Colours of Inequality.
4. Not much been mentioned between 2003 until 2013, I presume that political economy and policy was not effectively been introduced and not providing so much impact towards Malaysia’s economy.
That’s all for my 1st review. I hope it will nurture me to do this more often.
Last but not least, I still recommend this book for those that interested in fiscal policy and political economy point of view.
