The journey continues.......
My
2nd book in my journey of reviewing. I join the bandwagon in reading Billion
Dollar Whale by Tom Wright & Bradley Hope. It is a narrative book for a
person like me to understand what is all the fuss on Jho Low and 1MDB. A friend
of mine told me this is a book that provides a simplify explanation of the
whole Jho Low and 1MDB.
Here are my take on the book:
1. Jho Low was equipped with knowledge, information, connections and lucky timing to be in this saga. Larry Low has prepared his son to be in a position to take all the opportunities by being educated at places that will allow his son to be closed to the rich and famous.
2. Jho Low has been idolizing Gordon Gecko, Jordan Belfort and Mark Rich. All these are characters that build reputation upon building up deceiving scheme in creating wealth out of people that easily been duped.
3. Rule by thieves is the main theme of this book. Nevertheless it opens up my view on how rule by thieves been defined and look at in legislative point of view.
4. My final take on this book is eye for detail and surround yourself with intelligent and trustworthy people. It makes a big different when choosing who you want to surround you and ability to listen to detail and accurate information.
This book requires a discussion with those that have read the book and other related 1MDB matters. My review will be probably late compare to those that have read the book earlier. None the less, it gives me an insight to guide me in further reading other 1MDB books.
Adios for now, thinking which book I should start next........
