The variety......
My 3rd book review so far. Zidane The Biography by Patrick Fort & Jean Philippe. Why I choose this book? Obviously a living legend with a deep philosophical mind that I look up for leadership approach and thoughts.
Here are my reviews of the book:
1. Yazid emphasizes on family values and supports. Smail and Malika have installed a strong base of family values that mould Yazid to a person that he becomes. Jean Varraud later on become the eyes that spot his talents and provides necessary support for the transition of Yazid to be the world class architect of the midfield.
2. Yazid is a listener of thoughts and a thinker of improvement by his own way. During his period in AS Cannes, Gilles Rampillon noticed that Yazid is a person with an ability to listen and an exceptional intellectual qualities. He ables to listen to theory and put it into practice.
3. Zizou characteristics of quiet but determined has provided Florentino Perez hopes that Zizou will shine further in coaching. In Castella, Zizou learns the necessary knowledges to be a great coach. His ability to observe the players and tacticals nurturing the players confident in executing his instructions.
4. Man-management from his captaincy for Les Blues which later on translated during his tenure in Castella, really prepared him when taking over the helm from Rafael Benitez in Real Madrid. Star players had a great respect for Zizou as a coach and his personal approach with the players during training provided a mutual understanding on his style of tactical games and attitude of the team.
Zidane’s story yet to be concluded giving that he is yet to be coaching a national team. Probably another 10 years we could see Zidane as a national coach.
Adios for now, next book will be in review soon.
